about us
Azulejo Press (Azulejo Arte Impressa) is a micro publishing house created in 2015. We have already published around 30 books by different artists, including collaborations and our own editions.
Every book is thought of as an autonomous work, planned together with the artists, seeking a balance between the possible and the ideal in the publication, keeping it accessible to the public.
We have already taken part in fairs in Brazil, Europe and the United States, such as Parada Gráfica (RS, BR), Feira Tijuana (SP, BR), Miss Read (Germany), San Fracisco Art Book Fair (USA). We have also taken part in exhibitions, including Livres et revues d'artistes: une perspective brésilienne, in France, curated by Paulo Silveira and Laurence Corbel, Artists' Books for Everything at the Weserburg Museum, Zentrum für Künstlerpublikationen, in Germany and Fotos contam Fatos at Galeria Vermelho (SP), curated by Denise Gadelha.
We are in important collections such as UFMG, UFRGS, SESC Pompéia (SP), Cabinet de livre d'artist (France), Weserburg Museum (Germany), Glasgow School of Art (Scotland), California Institute of the Arts, Whitman College and Chicado School of Art (USA). We have already won an award at the Açorianos de Artes Plásticas in Porto Alegre, in the category of Alternative Arts Project and Production Incentive. Three other projects we have collaborated were awarded.
Created by Amanda Teixeira and Pedro Cupertino, the publishing house has been coordinated by Amanda since 2022.
